Anglers and researchers at Lake Yultie both agree – something fishy is happening under the water, or more accurately, something not fishy is happening. As in there aren’t any fish in there for some unknown reason.

We heard from local ace fisherman, Alfred Grisham, who says things have never been this still in the lake: “I just haven’t seen anything like it in my 63 years living here. Strange times were are living in. I went out for my usual morning crappie run and didn’t have a single fish on the line, the bait was untouched. Come to think of it, I didn’t even notice any ducks at the ramp when I launched the boat.”

A representative from the Fish and Wildlife department told us under condition of anonymity that “The state is aware of the reports of missing wildlife and is investigating accordingly.”
